How to submit your expression of interest

We welcome expression of interests from UK-based Black curators at any stage in their career to attend GI2021 in June. This opportunity is for people of African-Caribbean heritage or of Mixed Black heritage who identify as Black.

To register your interest for the bursaries we have set up a simple online form that asks a series of questions about your research interests and for two examples of previous work.

APPLY HERE

We are open to alternative ways to submit an EOI, for example, via email, a recorded video or audio description. Please however respond to the same questions in the online form. If you record a video or audio, we would ask this to be no longer than 2 mins.

Please email these to info@blackcuratorscollective.org with the subject heading 'BCC Bursaries'.

Deadline for expressions of interest – Friday 21 May 2021, 5pm

The EOI's will be reviewed by Black Curators Collective's core members. We will notify successful applicants by Friday 28 May 2021. Due to limited capacity BCC will be unable to give you feedback on your application.

The information you have provided will be stored securely for the purposes of this application. We will delete your application and any associated documents after 6 months. If, for access requirements, you’d prefer to meet one of our members or talk through these guidelines please contact info@blackcuratorscollective.org

The selected BCC Bursary recipients will produce a reflection, of any length, on their experience at GI2021. This reflection could be produced in a variety of formats, for example audio, video, written text or a transcribed conversation. There will be an opportunity to publish this reflection on BCC's website.
